Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, GlobalTranz is ranked among the top logistics brokerage firms in the United States. GlobalTranz draws on its proprietary TMS solution, competitive carrier partnerships, and team of qualified agents to deliver shipping and supply chain management services to over 25,000 clients.

Recently, company agents, brokers, and industry partners gathered at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the 2016 GlobalTranz Freight Agent Convention. The weekend provided a chance for employees to not only learn from leaders in the transportation and logistics industry, but also network with industry partners. The annual convention is also an opportunity for the company to reward its employees for a job well done and inspire them to reach new heights in the coming year.

The 2016 Convention kicked off on March 2, 2016, and ran through March 4, 2016. It began with a presentation from keynote speaker Richard D. O’Dell, CEO of Saia. O’Dell’s company has long been one of GlobalTranz’s most valuable freight shipping partners. O’Dell draws on several decades of experience in various facets of the logistics industry. As keynote speaker, he offered convention attendees his unique insights on sustainability and innovation in logistics business leadership.

Other topics explored by attendees at the 2016 convention included invoice resolution, enterprise sales, and claims, among many others. The event also offered employees a chance to unwind and build comradery by the pool, on the golf course, and in the stands of a spring training baseball game. In addition, GlobalTranz honored the previous year’s top performers with the presentation of its Carrier and Freight Agency awards.
